(Take National Ave. east to 52nd Street. Turn right. Parking lot is on the left a few hundred feed down 52nd Street. Enter doors off the circle drive/north parking lot and follow building signage to the auditorium.)
Looking for 10 actors.
We are looking for energetic actors who want to have fun while delving into Fools which is one of Neil Simon’s well known comedies. It is a romantic, comic fable set in the 19th century village of Kulyenchikov. The tale follows a schoolteacher, who arrives to tutor the town doctor’s daughter. He quickly learns that the town is under a 200-year-old curse that makes everyone chronically stupid!
We welcome performers of all backgrounds to audition.
We hope to see you there! Preregistration is not needed! Photos may be taken during auditions.

Character Descriptions
Leon Tolchinsky: (Male; Mid 20’s to Mid 30’s) An ambitious young school teacher, newly arrived in the Village of Kulyenchikov. He’s been hired to educate the village doctor’s daughter, Sophia.
Snetsky: (Non-gender specific; 20’s to 60’s) An unintelligent shepherd
Magistrate: (Non-gender specific; 40’s plus) The unwise village judge
Slovitch: (Non-gender specific; 20’s to 50’s) An idiotic butcher
Mishkin: (Male; 20’s to 60’s) A foolish postman
Yenchna: (Female; 20’s to 60’s) A ridiculous woman, a seller of goods
Zubritsky: (Male; 40’s to 60’s) The dimwitted village doctor
Lenya Zubritsky: (Female; 40’s to 60’s) The doctor’s equally dimwitted wife
Sophia Zubritsky: (Female; 20’s to mid 30’s) The doctor’s beautiful young daughter, who is so stupid she just recently learned to sit down
Count Gregor Yousekevitch: (Male; 40’s plus) Ancestor of the man who cast the curse of stupidity on the Village of Kulyenchikov. Last in the line of Yousekevitches.

Auditions for Prescription: Murder kick off tomorrow, and we can’t wait to see the talent our community brings to the stage. Whether you’ve performed before or are stepping into the spotlight for the first time, this is your moment.
Come early, bring your best, and be ready to read for a variety of roles. We’re looking for performers who can bring depth, nuance, and a little mischief to this classic whodunit.
Auditions are at 7:00 PM on February 10th and 11th at Liberace Auditorium which is at the West Milwaukee Intermediate School on Greenfield Ave. No advanced sign up necessary.
